PYB 2023: Remain Focused, Dedicated, Onoja Tells Forum of SSAs to Gov Bello
• Pledges Support to Forum for its Advocacy Schedule
In a bid to foster the actualization of the calls for Kogi State Governor, His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Bello to vie for Nigeria’s Presidency, Forum of Senior Special Assistants (FSSAs) to the Governor, paid a scheduled visit to State Deputy Governor, Chief (Dr.) Edward Onoja in office in Lokoja on Wednesday.
The Forum, led by its Chairman, Hon. Ismaila Umar, SSA to the Governor on ICT, was in his office to intimate him on measures being put in place by the Forum to galvanize broader support base as well as augment the efforts of non-partisan stakeholders like the GYB2PYB Group, Bello Ambassadors Network (BAN), among many others.
Chief Onoja, while welcoming the aides of the Governor, praised them for queuing themselves in the line of thought to engender the awareness base of Governor Bello across the country. He lauded the group for its ongoing advocacy tour across various states in the country aimed at sensitizing Nigerians on the feats being recorded by the Governor in Kogi and why he must be compelled to replicate them at the national level.
He commended the Forum for making the North Central its takeoff point for the campaign and praised it for hinging its schedule on thematic tripods targeting stakeholders like traditional council leaders, religious leaders as well as inter-tribal organizations. Chief Onoja tasked the Forum to propagate its advocacy on what he tagged the “SUP Formula” thrusted on Security, Unification and Prosperity.
He described Governor Bello as a man who dared to change the narratives of ethnic bigotry that had existed in the State prior to his assumption into office saying he has showcased deliberate capacity through people-oriented policies on security, job creation, food production, women and youths inclusion in governance, amongst others.
He regretted the subtle gimmicks being carried out by non-progressive politicians to stifle the chances for equal opportunities for participants, saying it was only morally justified for the North Central region to participate in the race and charged the Forum to tailor its messages based on peculiarities of demands accrued to every zone in the country.
He guaranteed the Forum of his unalloyed support and reeled out other strategies that can help it achieve maximum success its outings.
Earlier, Chairman of the Forum, Hon. Ismaila Umar, said the Forum had embarked on travel-visits to some states in the North Central region like Nasarawa, Niger, Kwara, stating that efforts are on to cover other states to preach the ‘President Bello mantra’ subsequently. He described the Chief Onoja as the “Chief Pusher of the GYB2PYB Agenda” and appealed for synergy and support to help the Forum span accros the country in its efforts to sensitize, mobilize and galvanize Nigerians to task Governor Bello to run for the Office of Presidency come 2023.
