Kogi Gov. Describes Alhaji Isiaka Alfa (WAALI) As True Statesman, Philanthropist

Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello on Thursday, attended the 8-day Islamic prayers of the late renowned philanthropist, political icon, Alhaji Isiaka Alfa in Enabo, AKpa, Ankpa LGA
Late Alhaji Isiaka died at the age of 90 on Friday, 25 February, 2022
The governor, who was represented at the event by his Chief of Staff, Jamiu Abdulkarim Asuku described the late leader as a true statesman and philanthropist, saying  the Igala kingdom and the state as a whole have lost a political colossus par excellence
He said Alhaji Isiaka besides being a great politician, was also an astute businessman and financier of many businesses.
The Chief of Staff who was accompanied by the Local Government Auditor-General, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo expressed the governor’s  condolence to family members of the deceased, particularly, Hon. Rabiu Isiaka Alfa; the Ankpa people and the entire people of Igala kingdom.
The governor prayed to God to grant the deceased Aljannah Fidaus and fortitude for his loved ones to bear the loss.
Alhaji Isiaka Alfa was born in 1932 and joined active politics in 1960 just after the country’s independence.
The late Isiaka produced illustrious children, among them, is the Honourable member representing the good people of Ankpa II State Constituency, and Chairman, House Committee on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in the Kogi State House of Assembly.
